Workplace Writing

This was a course for my minor, which is professional writing. The course was meant to emphasize strategies for producing effective documents in a variety of professional contexts. We gained practice with common workplace forms as we mastered writing clearly with the needs and expectations of their audiences in mind. The course was particularly valuable to students preparing for careers in business, government, and nonprofit organizations.

Our first assignment was to practice writing professional emails to our professor.

Our next assignment was practicing on how to tell someone they didn’t get a job and why in a professional way.

This course included 3 “major assignments” and this was the first one.

This assignment was my first experience writing a rhetorical precis.

This was our second major assignment.

This was the third major assignment and our final assignment for the course.
